Prior to a service, avoid painkillers (except Tylenol), fish oil, and vitamin E, which tend to thin the blood. Thinner blood will make the area more prone to bruising and bleeding.  Avoid strenuous exercise on the day of treatment. 

During treatment it feels like a pinch and then a little stings when being injected. We may numb the area prior to treatment to make you as comfortable as possible. Some procedure can take  as little as 15 mins or longer depending on the complexity of the area and how many areas need to be addressed. 

Afterward, your provider will ask you to sit and wait for 15 minutes where you can apply ice to reduce the mild swelling.  You can go about your daily life afterward but shouldn’t make any big plans (like a wedding or an important event) for at least two to three weeks in case of bruising and mild swelling. You shouldn’t exercise for 24 hours after the procedure. You especially should avoid activities that increase blood flow to your face, like getting a massage, a facial or going tanning or in saunas.
